Ever feel like this is how your #JOBSEARCH is going?
Hi, I'm Eric Melchor. I study how people get ahead in their careers, finances, and pursuits. I look at the habits, behavior, and psychology of people I admire such as Vince Lombardi, Napoleon, and Tim Ferris. As a Marketing Executive and founder of an innovative kids’ health program - Fly Movement, I use myself as a guinea pig to test new ways of learning and growing. Coming from a background where there was low academic achievement and no role models to guide me, I've had to raise my opinion of myself, dare to be great, and fight with double the energy to live the life I want. For that reason, I've had a lot of failures, but enjoy sharing the lessons I’ve learned.
I've been talked about in media including the Houston Chronicle, Culturemap, Great Day Houston, and was nominated for the Houston Tomorrow Catalyst Award. For 7 years and counting, I've been on a mission to inspire those coming from similar backgrounds to have the confidence and skills to pursue their full potential. Because what I believe – a 1st generation college graduate whose career didn’t get off the ground until his 29th birthday – it’s not about waiting for doors to open. It’s about creating your own.
